My story...

 

Hello, my name is Amber. I am the owner and sole proprietor of DnA Braided Treasures. I have been involved with horses since I was a small child. My step father bred and raised Hackney, Welsh and Shetland show ponies. When I was 9 years old my parents gave me my first riding pony. Her name was Nancy Neato!! lol Once I climbed into Nancy's saddle I never looked back... I know how to drive the harness ponies, but horseback riding is where my heart is. I had several horses that I showed in 4H until I was 19 years old.

As an adult I bought my first horse. She was an unbroke 2 year old APHA mare named Soangetana Sue. I broke and trained "Susie" myself. We went on to show on the APHA and PtHA regional breed show circuits. We had a very successful show career. Together, we went on to achieve many state champion and reserve champion awards in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, English Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle. Nationally, Susie has many ROM.s and ROE's. Our greatest honor was to achieve a national PtHA Amateur Championship. Those days, were honestly, some of the best times of my life. After we moved on from the horse shows, Susie and I rode in many parades and we were a member of the H.O.P.E. Drill Team (Horsemen Of Precision Entertainment). Susie is now retired and enjoying her much deserved life as a pasture pet. She will live out the rest of her life with me. My husband and I now own 3 horses. We enjoy taking our two younger horses camping and trail riding.

My beautiful Susie is now 29 years young and my inspiration for DnA Braided Treasures. I wanted a keepsake from my precious mare. As I surfed around the internet looking for keepsakes I realized how expensive they were. I was raised in a very crafty family and felt that I could learn to make my own keepsake. That's exactly what I did! After I made a few pieces I posted them on my personal Facebook page, and my horse friends loved what I had made. Everything just took off from there...

I officially launched DnA Braided Treasures in 2014 on Facebook. I personally make every precious keepsake. My goal is to provide caring, compassionate customer service and offer beautiful keepsakes using only the highest quality components at reasonable prices. I am a horse owner too. I know what our fur babies mean to us.
